Each year, the Society offers a technical internship, along with a $1600 scholarship, to a Houston area college student of a Theater Management program (rising freshmen also considered). The student will spend June and July assisting the Artistic and Stage Directors with the Society's summer production, gaining valuable experience in the workings and production of a large budget show. See the documents linked below for more information.
The Robert & Diana Linder Scholarship Fund was established not to provide for academic needs, but rather for the special needs of university-age/young professional singers, pianists, and conductors – the three disciplines most closely associated with the Society and our productions. Money is granted by the Board of Directors on a discretionary basis and not tied to annual giving like other scholarship funds. Anticipated uses for funds include workshop or travel costs, competition entry fees, master classes, etc. The Linder Fund may be granted at any time during the year. Please contact scholarships@hgns.org for application information.
