New Board Members Elected 2018-19

The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston recently met at the home of Steve Robbins, Past President, for the annual General Meeting and the election of new Board Members.  The Society is pleased to announce the following community members have agreed to two-year terms.

Peter Gingiss was infected with the love of G & S from childhood when his mother took him to see Martyn Green in the Mikado. The infection is, of course, incurable. He has gone annually to the performances since 1970, when he joined the faculty of the English Department at the University of Houston. He has made attendance mandatory for any family members  in town in July. 

Kelly Waguespack is a native Houstonian with a Master's degree in Vocal Performance.  She is a performer, a St. Agnes Academy/Strake Jesuit voice teacher, a cantor at St. Anne Catholic Church, and an office manager for a local interior design firm.  She first joined The Gilbert and Sullivan Society as a chorister and understudy for 2015's production of  Pirates of Penzance.  She has been hooked ever since!

Among current members, Jack Blanton and Martha Taylor have chosen not to stand for re-election.  Ms. Taylor has chosen to join the Emeritus Board.  The Board would like to thank Mr. Blanton for his service, and Ms. Taylor for her significant contributions to the Board and the Society at large.
