November 9, 2015The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston met at the home of Steve Robbins, President, for the annual General Meeting and the election of new Board Members. The Society is pleased to announce the following community members have agreed to two-year terms.
Sarah L. Lee is a full-time mom of three savoyards (Bennet, Beth and Phillip). She and her husband, Bryant, have been married for 10 years and live in The Heights. Ms. Lee has been performing on stage with the Houston Gilbert & Sullivan Society since 2009. Her roles include Ruth, Buttercup, Lady Jane, Lady Sangazure, The Fairy Queen and Katisha. Sarah is originally from Dallas and has a bachelors of music from SMU and a masters of music from The Manhattan School of Music (both in vocal performance). In ALL of Sarah's spare time she can be found quoting "The Princess Bride," Jimmy Fallon, or random SNL sketches. Ms. Lee is a firm believer in the superiority of Mezzo-Soprano's over Sopranos.
